As a nonprofit, we are not allowed to offer flat rate prices because it would enable us to collect fees for more hours than we actually work on your case. Lawyers set their flat rates based on the total amount of time they expect your case will require. Then they do everything they can to reduce the amount of time they invest in your case. You never see those efficiency savings. At Justice in Reach, we give you the lowest possible hourly rate so that you can afford the services you need for far less than what a flat rate attorney will charge. Plus we pass on all savings to you. Unlike with a flat rate attorney, when we save time your costs shrink.
Yes, unbundled services are available. We work with each client to determine what services are best for them. You can choose consultations as needed, specific services such as document drafting or trial appearance, or full service where we handle your entire matter for you.
If you earn less than 126% of the federal poverty rate, you may qualify for free legal services from another organization. Please contact us at (833) 547-3224 so that we may help you determine who can best serve your legal needs.
There is only one situation in which we can help someone who earns more than 250% of the federal poverty rate. If discrimination against a marginalized community that you are a member of makes it impossible to find legal representation in your area, we can help you to enforce your human and legal rights secured by law.
If you earn too much to qualify for our services, but cannot afford market rate legal services, we may be able to refer you to an attorney that will work within your budget.
